Job purpose

To render accurate cashier administrative support services to the department

 

Appointment 

requirements

Grade 12

Mathematics and/or Accountancy as Grade 12 subjects will be an advantage

At least six months’ relevant working experience in a cashier management environment  

Computer literacy

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Issue floats to cashiers and balance floats at the end of shift

Relieve cashiers when necessary

Receive, reconcile and issue money bags to cash in transit for banking

Administrate the shortages and the surpluses of cashiers

Issue petty cash to different departments and balance the petty cash register

Ensure effective and efficient logistical support services

Ensure effective and efficient control, procurement and payments

Perform ad hoc duties
