Job purpose |
To provide effective cleaning services across all rental housing schemes by maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe and healthy environment for tenants, visitors and employees, while ensuring that municipal cleaning standards and procedures are adhered to at all times |

Appointment requirements |
Ability to perform duties Basic literacy Relevant experience in providing cleaning services will be an added advantage Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost |

Primary functions |
Clean and maintain facilities, communal areas, corridors, stairways, ablution facilities and other areas Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and sanitise designated areas in accordance with established cleaning standards Empty waste bins and ensure the proper disposal of refuse Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as required Report damages, defects and maintenance issues identified during cleaning activities Sweep and clean walkways, pavements, entrances, parking areas and surrounding grounds Collect and dispose of litter and other waste from designated outdoor areas Maintain cleanliness and a neat appearance of hostel and rental housing scheme surroundings Assist in keeping public and common spaces safe, hygienic and free from hazards Report unsafe conditions, vandalism and maintenance requirements to the relevant supervisor |
