Job purpose

To supervise workshops, planners, artisans, operators and workers, and the maintenance and upgrading of all City of Tshwane-owned properties

 

Appointment 

requirements

Grade 12

An appropriate trade test as Electrician (red seal)

Wireman’s licence – registered at the Department of Labour

At least two years’ relevant experience as Electrician after the trade test

A valid Code B driving licence

Computer literacy with SAP knowledge

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Supervise the electrical workshop and specific specialised tasks

Ensure that work meets quality and safety standards

Plan and allocate tasks to team members, monitor progress and report to management
