Job purpose

To provide ICT functional support to computer end users in the City of Tshwane

Appointment 

requirements

An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (degree or national diploma) in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other ICT related study field

CompTIA A+ Certification

At least two years’ experience in an ICT desktop support environment

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Set up, configure and install new hardware equipment

Perform software and hardware maintenance

Provide efficient technical support to all end users

Maintain an inventory of hardware devices

Perform all other technical support and administrative duties

Investigate and resolve hardware and software faults

Ensure that daily service-level agreements are met
