Job purpose

To perform lifeguard duties, facility maintenance and supervision, personnel and finance management, and to manage access control at municipal swimming pools

 

Appointment 

requirements

Grade 12

Valid Lifeguard Award with yearly re-test certificate

Valid First Aid Level 1 certificate

At least two years’ relevant swimming pool operations experience

Knowledge of swimming pool operations (filtration systems)

Code B driving licence

Computer literacy

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Willingness and ability to work on Saturdays according to a fixed schedule

Willingness to be redeployed temporarily to another facility in Region 3
