Job purpose

To manage and coordinate the salary administration function by ensuring the accurate, timeous and compliant processing of payroll and related renumeration activities to ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations and legislation 

 

Appointment 

requirements

An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree) in Human Resources Management, Financial Management, Public Administration or any other study field related to the position

At least six years’ experience in human resources management, preferably in a salary administration environment

Supervisory experience will be an added advantage

A valid Code B driving licence

Computer literacy with SAP experience

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Execute generic personnel management functions

Ensure the effective appointment, promotion, transfer and secondment of all City of Tshwane officials, office-bearers and Section 57 employees

Ensure the administration of deductions for all City of Tshwane employees

Manage the termination of services

Manage salary administration and adjustments for all officials

Ensure that the correct bank details are stored

Ensure that an effective and efficient reporting, audit query, grievance, arbitration and general information service is rendered

Render administrative payroll services

Render an enquiry and advisory service
