Job purpose

To ensure proper running and cleaning of pump stations and to report any problems

 

Appointment 

requirements

Ability to perform duties (including physical ability, basic literacy and experience)

Relevant experience in a water environment will be an added advantage

Physical fitness and health

Ability to do physical work related to operation and maintenance activities for continuous periods

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Clean and maintain the pump station terrain

Execute work through proper planning and scheduling

Ensure that work is done effectively

Clean the pump station and inlet baskets or structure

Report any problems to the foreman
