JOB PURPOSE

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

POSITION: GENERAL WORKER X8

 

REFERENCE: 001/04/2026

 

TARGET: BLACK MALES

 

JOB LEVEL: T1

 

SALARY SCALE:

127 396,20 - 145 322,18 pa (excluding benefits)
  • Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience
  • Physical fitness and health

  • Ability to understand and execute instructions
  • Ability to immediately switch duties per instruction
  • To render general routine work at all buildings owned and managed by HCT and maintain good and healthy conditions and standards in the buildings.
  • Conduct daily upkeep of facilities
  • Pick up litter and sweep in and around all the buildings owned and managed by HCT
  • Cut grass, trim trees and de-weed plants on and around pavements and walkways
  • Clean buildings assigned to the incumbent
  • Help with loading and unloading different objects
  • Clean flowerbeds
  • Clean ablution facilities
  • Empty bins in all buildings owned and managed by HCT
  • Remove waste dumping in and around buildings owned and managed by HCT
  • Handle small equipment and machinery
