Job purpose

To conduct all seasonal maintenance, including cutting grass and preparing playing surfaces of bowling greens and cricket pitches

Ability to perform duties

Relevant practical working experience in the maintenance of bowling greens and cricket pitches

Physical fitness and health

Willingness to work in any region of Tshwane

Willingness and ability to work shifts, standby and overtime

Personal attributes

and/or competencies

Good interpersonal skills; communication skills; willingness and ability to perform physical labour for continuous periods related to operational and maintenance activities; technical skills

Primary functions

Cut grass on bowling greens and cricket pitches

Prepare the playing surface for matches

Prepare playing surfaces at the end of winter and the beginning of spring (winter treatment)

Ensure control of all machinery and equipment allocated to the section

Ensure that all principles and guidelines, as prescribed by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993), are adhered to
