Job purpose

To manage the Service Connections and Development Subsection responsible for the project management of the development of new townships and all land use changes, as well as to provide new electricity connections (standard and non-standard) to consumers and render an installation inspection service

Appointment 

requirements

An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree), BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering or any other electrical engineering-related study field

A Project Management Diploma or Certificate will be an added advantage

Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) will be an added advantage

At least eight years’ experience in an electrical technical and planning environment

Managerial experience will be an added advantage

A valid Code B driving licence

Computer literacy

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Provide management functions and exert control over the functions and performance of the Service Connections and Development Subsection

Manage the coordination of all land use applications

Manage the coordination of all service relocation applications

Manage the coordination of all leases and sales of City of Tshwane land

Manage the coordination of all applications for new connections (standard and non-standard)

Provide project management for the installation of service connection points
