Job purpose

To assist the artisan or senior operator with minor mechanical, electrical and general maintenance and repairs

Relevant experience in general maintenance

Physical fitness and good health

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Inspect, repair and execute minor maintenance (change door locks and light bulbs, replace tap rubbers, etc) on facility structures and equipment as directed by immediate supervisor and/or as assigned through a scheduled preventative maintenance work order

Ensure stock control (materials in vehicle and hand tools)
