Job purpose

To design, implement, maintain and optimise cloud hosting infrastructure in order to ensure the secure, reliable and efficient delivery of hosting services

An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security or any ICT-related study field

The following relevant technical certifications or knowledge will be an added advantage: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator

At least three years’ experience in ICT systems engineering, cloud infrastructure administration or Azure cloud services within a medium-to-large enterprise environment

A valid Code B driving licence

Computer literacy

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Design, implement, administer and maintain secure, reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure and hosting services to support the City’s ICT operations

Monitor, maintain and support cloud environments to ensure optimal system performance, availability, reliability and timely resolution of technical incidents

Implement and maintain cloud security, business continuity, disaster recovery and governance measures to safeguard ICT infrastructure and to ensure compliance with organisational standards

Optimise cloud resources, automate infrastructure management and implement continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery and cost-effectiveness
