Job purpose |
To exercise control over the section responsible for the execution of field inspections (water installation audits) and liaise between supervisor and subordinates |

Appointment requirements |
Trade certificate as Plumber (red seal) At least two years’ relevant experience in plumbing, preferably in a local government environment with knowledge of various water meters Supervisory experience will be an added advantage A valid Code B driving licence Computer literacy Physical fitness and good health with the ability to make actual sites visits Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost Willingness and ability to work overtime |

Plan and delegate tasks received from the supervisor Ensure quality control of all work carried out by subordinates or contractors, that work is in accordance with standard procedures and that equipment complies with the regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act 85 of 1993) Ensure administrative control Liaise with the supervisor, colleagues, contractors and the public by attending various meetings Issue spot fines for transgressions of the City of Tshwane Water Supply By-law |
