To market Tshwane as the leading African capital city of excellence by promoting various municipal services and city offerings

 

Appointment 

requirements

An appropriate career-related tertiary qualification (national diploma or degree) in Marketing Management, Strategic Brand Management, Communication or any other study field related to the position

At least three years’ relevant experience in corporate marketing management in a local government environment

A valid Code B driving licence

Computer literacy

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Liaise with and retrieve information from internal and external stakeholders to compile marketing plans

Formulate and implement marketing plans to market the City’s services, products and programmes

Formulate and implement marketing plans to position Tshwane as a lucrative investment and tourism designation

Implement identified marketing opportunities for the City of Tshwane

Monitor and evaluate marketing campaigns

Conduct market research

Use marketing and promotion equipment or aids, such as events, visual materials and posters

Assist to formulate year planning, budgeting and reporting

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Participate in and coordinate workshops and events with key target markets through planned and managed programmes

Monitor marketing service activity as it relates to developing and maintaining client relationship with stakeholders by regular interaction and feedback mechanisms
