Job purpose

To provide functional support to the Innovation Centre to effectively coordinate, promote and execute innovation management functions and to assist the City in addressing service delivery challenges

 

Appointment 

requirements

An appropriate three-year career-related tertiary qualification (degree or national diploma) in Development Planning, Business Management, Public Management, Performance Management or any other study field related to the position

At least six years’ relevant working experience in corporate or public sector innovation management (innovation projects and intellectual property management)

A valid Code B driving licence

Computer software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Projects, Mind Planning and Visio)

Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost

Primary functions

Provide support in the execution of generic Innovation Centre functions and programmes

Provide support in the effective recording, coordination and management of opportunities and/or solutions presented to the Innovation Centre

Provide support in the establishment and execution of innovation projects

Provide functional support to the development and promotion of innovation programmes

Assist in capacity-building and developing institutional intellectual capital

Lead programmes as directed by the management team
