Appointment requirements |
Ability to perform duties (including physical ability, basic literacy and experience) Experience in a water treatment environment will be an added advantage Ability to carry out physically hard labour tasks Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost Willingness and ability to work shifts, standby and overtime |

Primary functions |
Assist process controllers with general plant housekeeping Assist with all the operations of unit processes Take samples, book the daily analysis and capture daily meter readings Monitor and clean flocculation tanks and channels Assist process controllers during the offloading of bulk chemicals and chlorine gases Assist process controllers during filter maintenance Perform any reasonable duties as instructed by process controllers or supervisor Monitor, descum and clean the dissolve air flotation filters Desludge settling tanks (sedimentation) Assist process controllers in connecting and disconnecting chlorine drums Monitor the production and quality of drinking water, including raw water quality |
